"In my artistic practice, reading, observing and interpreting are essential tools that help me to conceive my work. My field of inspiration is in understanding cultural conditions related to identity. I am interested in the processes of association and recontextualization, including found as well as self-produced elements. My room environments are concerned with the tension between the familiar and the unknown. Derived from a curiosity about how different groups of people can live together in a city, it is a transformational need for me to understand how elements and materials exist and relate to each other. My compositions usually follow intuitive impulses inspired by metaphors, forms, colors, surfaces, textures. I do not work in a media-specific way. Instead, I am focused on combining different media into a kind of three-dimensional image, creating a space in which the individual elements relate to each other, creating a sort of non-linear narrative."
