An assemblage, „Epidemic“ consisted of three parts. There is a large drawing on the wall. Next to the drawing is the wall painted with flesh-colored acrylic paint. The wall is a spatial element, which is accompanied with several straps on the floor. The straps are bound together into a single strap. The final object on the floor is children‘s clothing under a plastic glass with plasticine sculptures. The assemblage is the outcome of a debate about food and identity in a country like Mexico, where the national pride and the inferiority complex often contradict one another. The assemblage deals with topics such as appropriation, racism, and influence on social structures.
