Diploma exhibition Master of Fine Arts, Kunsthalle Basel
„Rosanna Monteleone shows several works in the Kunsthalle‘s sky light room.
All the works are fragments of a greater history. Torn out of their context,
however, they represent independent works of their own. What connects them
is the perception of time. The walking stick „Walzer“ represents age, the drawing
„One“ exacts patience, and „Fragment of Life“, itself an agave leaf, stands for the
natural time of life and transience.
Monteleone relieves the objects of their own often charged history, negotiating
them as pure objects, with their respective aesthetic values.“
